Wellbeing and after school club
At Rillington we strongly advocate wellbeing, we see it as being fundamental to our health and overall happiness. Having a strong and well-adapted sense of wellbeing can help us overcome difficulties and help us achieve our goals in life... in short, having high levels of wellbeing helps us to be the best versions of ourselves. As a result we have pledged to offer wellbeing activities to all our pupils each afternoon, until 4.15pm as part of our wider curriculum.
From 3.15pm children can participate in different wellbeing activities throughout the week, these are provided at no cost to our families.
Activities for Spring term 1:
- Monday Keyboard club run by Mr Kelly or coding club (UKS2 - Year 5&6) run by Miss Mills
- Tuesday Netball run by Mr White
- Wednesday Family board games run by Miss Loggie
- Thursday Science club run by Mrs Taylor or wellbeing in the cabin run by Mrs Johnson
- Friday Gymnastics run by Mr Ellis
We offer an after school club:
The club is based in the school hall, children are escorted to the hall by school staff at the end of the wellbeing activities.
Parents need to collect their child from the main entrance any time up to 5.15pm, dependent on the number of sessions booked.
There are a range of activities over the week for children to access, including crafts, sports, board games, ICT, cinema.
The club is ran by Mrs Stabler and Mr Stewart, who are members of Rillington Primary School senior leadership team.
Currently this only runs on Wednesday and Thursday but should there be a need for other nights throughout the week, this will be considered.
