Additional Information

Swimming

Children will need a swimming costume or trunks, a towel and goggles (optional) in a clearly named bag. Costumes must be full length and not two pieces.

PE – all children

All children need to have a PE kit in school throughout the week.

For indoor PE, children should wear plain navy or black shorts or joggers, a plain white polo shirt or PE shirt (see below) and trainers. Children do not need plimsols.

For outdoor PE during winter months children should wear plain joggers/leggings, plain white polo shirt or PE shirt, a plain hoodie/jumper and trainers.

Jewellery

Valuables should not be brought to school.

Basic jewellery and watches are the child’s responsibility if he/she chooses to wear them. School is not liable for any lost items of jewellery. Earrings – Children are allowed to wear a small pair of plain, silver or gold studs but these must be taken out for PE due to Health and Safety Regulations. Children must be able to remove earrings themselves as staff are not permitted to do it for them. If children are not able to take their own earrings out then, unfortunately, they will not be able to participate in PE lessons. Earrings should not be covered with a plaster unless prior permission from parents has been sought - parents must take full accountability for any injury that may occur.

Headscarves and Hairstyles

Headscarves should be plain black, white or grey if worn for religious reasons.

To ensure all children have a neat appearance whilst in school, please avoid extreme hairstyles.
